Fiesta set the theme
for Rollin’ on Wheels To NEAR’S 2014 Fiesta July 17-20, 2014. The area rally made a comeback after a year’s
absence.
The YDD’s enjoyed a beanie-weenie
meal put on by YDD’s president and treasurer Bob and Nancy Heck. Showers in the afternoon moved the meal
inside the Expo.
Evenings during pre-rally were designated for jams.
NEAR opens “Morning
Coffee”
with a delayed time on registration day.
Maestros played from 9:30 – 10:30 AM on
Thursday, July 17, 2014. The three
remaining coffee hours were at the traditional 7:30 AM time.
The YDD Maestros showed their single and small group talents
with solos, duets and trios.

Each afternoon the
YDDs gathered in and around the EZ up tent set up by President Bob Heck. PreRally rehearsal days were begun with coffee and pastries under the EZ up!
A colorful chapter
fair table drew a crowd. The third place
certificate was awarded to the YDD-Frustrated Maestro display.
The final morning
came on Sunday. Many of the tunes in
this program were gospel songs. Words
were projected on screen. The audience
sang along.
The traditional
military salute concluded the rally.
Elected to serve YDD
were Bob Heck, President, Linda van
Harsell, Vice President, Joan Bamberg, Secretary and Nancy Heck Treasurer.
