NEAR 2011

NEAR 2011 will long linger with those dedicated Maestros who arrived in Essex Junction, VT at the Champlain Valley Expo Center. The smaller than usual group of musicians persevered to produce music for the rally.  Their numbers had been reduced by much illness.  Director Charles Marston reluctantly turned back in West Virginia when his refrigerator produced an ammonia leak!

YDD President Diane Dubois was suddenly left with additional responsibility.  Husband, Paul, is North East VP which provided additional responsibilities for her.  She assumed the position of director and the Maestros improvised and filled in missing parts.  Kudos to those folks who proved that Maestros are an enduring group.

The group met the responsibility of providing entertainment for four Morning Coffee hours.

Anne Gould played her beautiful hammered dulcimer for the ice cream-chapter fair.    Anne also put down her French Horn and picked up a trumpet for the service songs.

Since this blog webmistress lives and rides along with director Charles Marston there are no pictures from her camera. Many thanks to Anne Gould and Chris Guld (www.geeksontour.com) for the pictures here displayed.
