2011 Madison, WI Convention

FMCA’s International Convention in Madison, WI featured well over 100 Maestro Musicians.  Rich Kale was the conductor.

Traditions were well supported with three Morning Coffee Hours in the Alliant Energy Center’s Arena building.  Please see the last slideshow of this blog posting.

Several coaches arrived in Jefferson, WI August 5-7 at the Jefferson Fair Park for a PreRally.

Frustrated Maestros abundance of soloists had opportunities to demonstrate their talents.

The opening of the outdoor exhibits was introduced by the band and chorus. 

Maestros presented an impressive display at the Chapter Fair.

The traditional Mid-West sponsored pancake breakfast started one morning.  Invited guests were FMCA officers to join the Maestros.

The Dixieland band entertained in the main lobby of the North Exposition for the traditional ice cream party.  The Dixieland Maestro sounds beautifully filled the area to the delight of some dancers and gathering crowd. While the Dixieland band played on the fire alarm erupted vying for competition.  Finally the world filtered through the huge ice cream loving crowd to vacate the building for the alarm.   No fire was detected but the Maestro Dixieland performance came to a definite end.

Opening Ceremonies for the convention were introduced by the band.  A brief concert preceeded the National Anthem and Oh Canada.
