The rally was hosted
by the MI Knights of the Highway at the
Berrien County Youth Fair in Berrien
Springs, MI.
The Rally Theme was “Back To The Farm”
Sadness
started the event with the sudden death of Bruce Bailey, Maestro Chorus member,
on May 23, 2012. Bruce's obitutary may be found at www.ballardandsons.com
Maestros across the
country felt this loss of a friend and musician.

was founded twenty years ago.
An anniversary cake for the
20th Anniversary party emphasized the achievement. Gathering for the picture were current officers and immediate past president Lynn Gilmore who is retiring as director.

Kees and Donna Van Poelgeest an Honorary Membership certificate for their many
years service to the chapters. Kees has been sound man and Donna served as President and Vice President while helping in many ways to establish the Great Lakes Frustrated Maestros at GLASS.

![]() This FM chapter proclaimed the Twenthieth Year celebration by wearing buttons and tying red balloons everywhere in the performance area. Meredith Walker designed the buttons. Twentieth anniversary celebrated its founders and Charter Members: Donna Van Poelgeest, Ginny McGrath, Kees Van Poelgeest, Marcia Atkinson, Charlie Atkinson, Genny Luckey. |

President Paul Long
presented Lynn and Mary Gilmore a certificate of
appreciation for Lynn's directing the Great Lakes Maestros for 13 years and
Mary's service as music librarian for that time. Lynn announced his
"retirement" from the position at the end of the 2012 season. Lynn
has also served concurrently as President for 10 years and Mary, as Secretary,
Treasurer and Newsletter Editor for 11 years.

Traditional Maestro
showmanship, musicianship and fun filled the rally events. Red and white cup cakes on the Chapter Fair
table celebrated the Twenty Years in the GLASS music business.
